Focusing on drama, musical theatre, dance and now film classes, and supported by a professional team of teachers, choreographers, directors, writers, and film makers, Puddle of Mud Theatre Productions has developed unique and innovative methods of teaching the arts. Whether it be first time thespians as young as 3 years of age, or talented young actors on their way to a professional career, we look forward to working with all of you!

Truus has taught thousands of kids in acting, musical theatre and dance. She has written, directed, and choreographed numerous plays for young audiences. She is deeply committed to providing youth the high quality programs and performances that she is known for. Truus also has an expansive theatre career, which has allowed her to perform all over Canada.

Acting Instructor: Jeff Wisemen

A graduate of the University of Calgary Drama program, Jeff Wisemen has been teaching drama classes for a number of years at Calgarys' award winning Story Book Theatre. During his time at Story Book, Jeff has written numerous plays and songs for children. He is currently enrolled in the education program at the University of Lethbridge.

 

 

 

Acting Instructor: Brian Fidler

Brian has been acting, directing and teaching in the Yukon for 8 years. He has worked as a guest instructor with the MAD program in Whitehorse since 2002 and has taught humerous acting workshops across the Territory. Brian has worked and trained with Mermaid Puppet Theatre of Nova Scotia and traveled to Japan twice with the company. Brian takes great joy in sharing his expansive knowledge in clown, puppetry, and acting with young performers.

Acting Instructor: Katherine McCallum

Katherine is an actress who grew up in Australia, studied in New York, and has performed internationally in various theatre, film, and television productions. Katherine has spent time teaching and acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in Australia, as well as being a drama coach on the Australian police television drama 'Wildside'. A recent addition to the arts community in Whitehorse, Katherine is excited about meeting lots of emerging Yukon performers and looks forward to collaborating to create some awesome drama!!

Film Instructor: Chad Von Hagen

Chads passion for film began at an early age when he was on set for 'Honey I Shrunk the Kids'. Having been able to witness all areas of production, simply watching movies was no longer enough for Chad; he needed to create! Since then, he has been involved with numerous short films that have been screened at various festivals accross Western Canada. Chad is a writer, director, producer, and currently, student at University of Lethbridge, and is very excited to share his extensive passion with the community!
